Creating and running studies online

Gorilla Experiment Builder is an online platform that allows you to create and run studies without needing to leave the house! On Gorilla, you can quickly create tasks, questionnaires, and full experiments using their easy-to-navigate set-up and reference guides. You can also easily share your tasks with others to collaborate with anyone with a Gorilla account. Gorilla is free to use, but charges a small fee for every participant who completes your studies.

Our lab uses Gorilla for several online studies, including SPACE Online, Spot N Dot, and Spatial Art. Gorilla is an especially good resource because it allows the user to create full experiments without programming experience! You can choose to use the Script tab to program your task, or use the Task Structure tab to build your project by hand.
