SPACE Study

An overview of our largest lab project

The project that will consume most of your time is the NSF funded SPACE study. You will often hear this study referred to by several different names, so here is a quick overview. "MaLiVa" (Marianella, Lisa, Vanessa) is the study nickname that we have used since the project's conception. Currently, the term 'MaLiVa' applies to the pilot samples that were collected through December 2019, though out of habit we often refer to our SPACE group meetings as MaLiVa meetings. Essentially SPACE and MaLiVa are the same study (give or take a few tweaks we made along the way), but recognize that when discussing participant data there is a strict distinction between MaLiVa and SPACE. This project is also sometimes just referred to as NSF.
